Microneedling Benefits

Updated: Jul 31, 2023

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure which involves small needle pricks to stimulate your body's natural healing cascade for repair and rejuvenation. Microneedling is also often called the "Vampire Treatment," and at Wellness for Life we sometimes call it the Dracula Facial!

How does microneedling work?

This procedure works by creating small prick s in your skin to call in the superhero healing factors your own body is great at making! Microneedling helps to boost your skin's collagen and elastin production, and helps to initiate new skin cell generation.

Similar to Plasma Rich Platelets (PRP), your own body's healing factors are superior to many skin care products in creating a firmer, more youthful appearance to your skin. Microneedling can be combined with PRP to get an added boost of delivering healing factors into your skin during the procedure, which can speed up your healing time after microneedling treatments.

For best results, we recommend a course of multiple treatments over time. Our microneedling specialists at Wellness for Life will discuss your desired results with you and work to create a comprehensive plan to fit your needs.
